  • Image Dynamics is on their third revision of the IDMAX Series subwoofer and it's legacy carries on. The Image Dynamics ID MAX 10 and 12 inch woofers are designed to create maximum SPL while retaining accurate bass response. It's pressed paper composite cone withstands flexing and extends the woofers frequency response while the EPDM Rubber surround keeps the voice coil linear even during harsh musical sessions. The powder coated alloy basket is designed with the RaDiaToR system to increase the flow of cold air in and heated air out of the woofer structure. A flat Nomex spider with woven tinsel leads can withstand years of play. Both 10" and 12" IDMAX woofers have a Peak power handling of 1800 watts and a true RMS power handling of 1000 watts. Introduction: The Image Dynamics ID MAX 10 and 12 inch woofers are designed to give you maximum SPL while retaining stunning sound quality. The ID MAX has been around for a long time and the Revision 3 upholds their brutal legacy.
From the top, the pressed paper composite cone is rigid enough to withstand flexing and extends the woofers frequency response range up to 250Hz. The Parabolic EPDM Rubber Surround, which stands for Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer, has great resistance to harsh vehicle conditions and provides a whopping 3.5 inches of peak-to-peak excursion.
On the side of the basket you will find standard push spring terminals to make connecting your IDMAX fast and simple while the proprietary powder coated alloy basket withstands bumps and grinds that occur during installation. The Radiant Diametric Torsional Reinforcement System, known as RaDiaToR, removes large amounts of heat from the voice coil and locks the cone and coil together. These technologies combined with flexible tinsel leads woven into long life Nomex cloth virtually eliminate woofer failure.
Both 10 and 12 inch ID MAX woofers have a Peak power handling of 1800 watts and a true RMS rating of 1000 watts. Both sizes come in Dual 2 and Dual 4 ohm configurations which make it easy to wire them up to any amplifier.
So, If you want a subwoofer that is capable of brutal SPL, endless depth and detail while being able to drive enormous amounts of air volume, the ID MAX Revision 3 woofer should be whispering heresy in your ear. You can find them at SonicElectronix.com, next to the poultry aisle.
