1: YES. They cool even better because the generated heat has a much larger area to fill inside your cabin, instead of a much smaller area being inside your enclosure.
Does Inverting Increase Your Output?
1: No - You won't notice much change unless your box was not build to the accurate specs from the start.
If I Invert My Subs, Do I Need To Reverse My Signal Polarity?
1: No - unless you have multiple subs, one of which is mounted differently than the others.
