Mounting your monoblock amp straight to your sub enclosure, good or bad? If it can be avoided it's recommended that you not do this. The characteristic vibrations of a subwoofer can lead to the amplifier's circuit board components to come loose, leaving you with a broken amplifier.
As Allyn mentions in the video, if you are really that tight on space maybe think about finding a smaller amplifier that suites your needs. Not to mention the inconvenience you face if you ever want to remove your sub/amp temporarily.
Now... if you have no other choice, mounting your amp to your sub box is no guarantee that your amp will fail... But if you have the option, why risk it?
